Lacielle Galipeau

Director of Photography

I am a Canadian-German Director, Director of Photography and Camera Operator, with a strong international background, having lived in Asia, Europe, and North America. Growing up bilingual and learning Spanish as a third language has provided me with the ability to quickly adapt to foreign cultures and people. My personal background of child abuse has made me a fighter in every way and gives me an understanding of people who have also gone through personal hardships themselves. I aim to shoot documentaries that reflect society's struggles and beauty.

I am a filmmaker from South Africa, based in Barcelona. Having lived in various corners of the world, I believe that storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to share, connect and collaborate with people from all walks of life. Besides having worked as a video content creator for and wedding filmmaker, I have a background and experience in documentary filmmaking. Currently I am working on a project called “MUV Screendance” which explores language through the art of movement. I am passionate about collaborating with creatives to help share and give voice to their unique stories.
